Images captured in low-key lighting usually create a mysterious and dramatic atmosphere. They can display a wide range of profound negative emotions. Like my high key photographs, I choose the same place to shoot but with different views. By moving out from the lively elements, like animals and humans, I focus on the layering of the city. I want to increase or enlarge the modern and industrial sense of the environment and add a mysterious feeling to it. The window reflects the bright sky to give the photo a sense of having a story, to bring up the audience’s curiosity about what happened behind the window. I did not darken the light on the window, to form a difference between the natural sky and building layering.
