Framework 5: Low-Key

The photo was taken at Habitat 67 in Montreal, designed by architect Moshe Safdie. The experimental residential project was originally from his thesis, later becomes the actual landmark of the city. I am fascinated by its combination of brutalist material and futuristic form, which can be represented by Low Key composition of grey to black. The method highlights the patchworks, lichens, and watermarks left on the concrete with a large contrast.
