“The Tiger”

For this assignment, I drew inspiration from “the architects’ wife”. My cat has an extremely expressive face and shows a lot of character so I wanted to try and feature him in the image. Working with animals and trying to have them pose can be difficult so my main goal was to ensure he was looking off to the distance similar to the woman in Sanders’ piece. It is called “the tiger” because I wanted to keep a little ambiguity, a misleading title for an image of a housecat…whose name happens to be Tiger. I love his facial expression in this image, it gives a very “royal” and powerful tone to the piece.
