Almost immediately after showing August Sander’s Master Mason in class, I had the idea to use my studio space for Painting III to create an image of a similar idea. I do not consider myself a master, hence why I titled it painter. I think everyone still has the opportunity to learn even if they are considered a master of their craft, so I wanted my version to tell to that, especially since my temporary studio space is on campus.
